This garlic shrimp fettuccine is the perfect quick-fix dinner when you want something rich and comforting without spending hours over a hot stove. Succulent shrimp and fragrant garlic simmer together before building a silky, fresh Parmesan cream sauce right in the same pan.

As the hot fettuccine gets tossed through the sauce, it coats every strand for a rich, restaurant-quality meal that comes together in under twenty minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
  • 6 tbsp Parmigiano-Reggiano or Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package directions until al dente (about 8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Shrimp & Garlic: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and minced garlic, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Build Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, about 1 tablespoon at a time, whisking constantly until smooth and melted.
  4. Thicken: Stir in the fresh chopped parsley and season with a pinch of salt. Simmer gently over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Combine & Serve: Add the cooked fettuccine directly into the skillet. Toss continuously until the pasta is evenly coated in the warm cream sauce. Serve immediately.
